@Steven so far the site seems to be running smoothly for me.. Pages,replies,etc.. load quickly. Will wait till I hear from the masses to give the final thumbs up however.

We have updated the search system back to Sphinx. More accurate, faster and more accurate. Not to mention less loading/strain on the server's resources

And don't be a hater but my Comcast internet speeds are...

Hmm, my ping times are up much higher than ya'lls and up into the hundreds of ms sometimes, so any idea what's up with that and does it have any quality/whatever impact on performance? My upload speed averages only 2.45 m, though 'blistering' compared to AT&T's ~0.24 m

No, my experience here recently is on a par with DIYaudio with both the DSL and cable, which is the best overall speed wise of the ones I actively post on, so can't complain if it stays this way even in high traffic hours.

Sure it does..Everything in the chain has an effect on your service... The ms pings your refereeing to has to do with the distance to the server and the speed of your connection. A friend of mine I know who lives in Paris has a 1GB per second connection check out the ping he has.

Try changing servers. ookla speedtest should give you an option to change servers. Try the ones closest to your house or just a different one other than the one you used.Try to find a server that is 50 miles or closer for the best reading on your connection speed.

That would be a shame as I have had no issues at all in over a week now...And am hoping no one else has either.Especially that server too busy message I haven't seen not once.

I have tried to edit my Bowie post on several occasions to insert the missing pic and videos. Success with the pic but not the videos.

Also, I have noticed that after going to a thread page I often have difficulty returning to the home page.

The board seems to be working much better on my end. I don't know if this is normal, but my screen is always flashing I have notifications and when I click on it, it says I have private messages. When I click on the message is says I have been quoted? Is being quoted a private message?
